This medaka got a lot thinner and less active, wondering if this is parasites or she just finished laying eggs or something else? The other one is very plump and bright

Is it still eating well?
What does its poop look like?
How quickly did it lose weight?
How often are you feeding them and what are you feeding them?

it isnt eating as well
did not see it poop
I was very busy and not paying much attention to such a small fish, but not extremely quickly
Feeding it a variety of freeze dried protein, flakes

If it lost weight over a couple of weeks, isn't eating normally, and does/ did a stringy white poop, it probably has an internal protozoan infection. Metronidazole is the medication of choice.

See if you can see its poop. If it's white, see the following link for treatment options. If the poop is normal and coloured, it might have had problems shedding the last lot of eggs. If that is the case, there's not much you can do except feed it up and hope it recovers.

Thank you. I will use API General cure.
