one of my tanks is slowly starting to develop into an Asian tank

Tea plant babies arrived today, for the Asian tank, and a 3rd variety of Calathea for the South American tank

Got the 1st 2 of my 10 gallon aquarium groups set up these will be quarantine/ Hospital / holding tanks… heaters will be here next week, working around Christmas… one will house the Cory’s currently in my African and Asian tanks, until I get the next South American tank up and running… a step in the direction of making the tanks truly regional…

So when the 4 black Cory’s come out of the Asian tank, I’ll have a spot to fill… thinking Panda Garra’s to start… any one familiar with these???

I had started looking at anchor catfish, but think they are too small to be in with the Tin Foils… open for other suggestions along those lines

Small update on the Asian tank… Tea plants still looking good, but you really can’t tell until you see new root growth, and so far, nothing coming outside the pots…

I’ve gotten my 4 10 gallon tanks up and running, for holding and quarantine use… so the Cory’s, that are in both my African, and Asian tank, are going to move to one of the holding tanks, with a layer of sand in it, either this weekend, or early next week… that’s a good step in the direction or regionalization of those 2 tanks
I have a shoal of Panda Garra’s coming, next week, will 1st make a stop in one of the quarantine tanks, then replace my 4 black Cory’s in the Asian tank… anyone else play with these??? Don’t know if they fall into the oddball class, as they aren’t catfish, or loaches as far as I know

Those are one of my all-time favorite fish. I don't have any currently, but I've kept them in several different setups. One of the most underrated fish in the hobby. Great little cleaners, full of personality, tend not to bother anybody.

I don't think that technically they're a loach, but they're closely related cyprinids. If you have young ones, be prepared for them to come over and say hi whenever your hands are in the tank. Maybe nibble on your arm hairs a bit. Really amusing fish. :)

Yep, they’ll be 0.75 to 1 inch as shipped… probably move them to the tank, asap, coming from Dan’s they are the best supplier I’ve used

Yes, I've had a single Panda Garra for about 1 and a half years now in my 55 gallon community tank. It's something different then the fish and snails. It goes all around and eats of the tank walls and decor. Mine likes the occasional algae wafer too.
