Koi varieties are bred more and more in guppies, platies and swordtails. Most sold are the kohaku (white/red or white/orange) swordtails. But there are also Ochiba shigure swordtails. That's a combination of grey/brown and grey/green. Just like this female of mine.

My male has died of old age. But she's pregnant again.

So glad to have found your post. I purchased a hi fin female that was colored like this. She has since died but I have a couple of here offspring - I have not had a "proper name" for the color.

Well, they're koi swordtails to start with... Therefore, they get the same names as normal koi. In this case, Ochiba shigure.

Siblings from two drops.

Would “Oreo” swords then be considered Utsuri. Or are they not a koi pattern? (The female appears to be a white wag, but the male more like a koi)
