Upgrade to a Tired Old Tank

Hello again TFF. Had an old 55 gallon tank that had been running for quite a while. It didn't have many fish, just a few small ones and the algae and moss had pretty much taken it over. I still changed most of the water weekly, but didn't do anything else to it. Decided I wanted to keep some giant Danios, but this was the only tank available, so I made some changes, just using some decorations and plants I already had. I moved the original fish to another 55 gallon tank and put in some Giant Danios. Here are the before and after photos.

Wow thats amazing! How did the algae not kill off the Anubias? What kind of algae was it?
