Is this a ghost shrimp?

Hi! I saw some really cool shrimp for only 3/1$. The shopkeeper insisted they were ghost shrimp. i did more research, and it says ghost shrimp can turn red, but these guys look too fat and they arent ghosty at all. What kind of shrimp is this? (Ive got some cherry shrimp by mistake from the same guy that were supposed to be ghosts too, but this ones not tiny like a cherry shrimp.)

woah! that's a steal, neos are so expensive here
they look like red neocaridinias
they are similar to most shrimp in care

I figured they weren’t ghost shrimp. So i said specifically could i get three of the red ones? Thanks. They look very healthy. !! Tysm ^^ time to research more

nice! you should go back to get some more, they are more happy and breed more readily with 10+

look for fire red shrimp, bloody mary shrimp, or cherry shrimp for better results

woah blues are like 8 bucks here😭
if you get the blue ones make sure to not let it breed with the red ones.
after a few generations the offspring will turn into wild types, but if you want another species of shrimp it would be nice

It was $5 for the blue. No i dont mind different offspring. But is it bad for the shrimp?
 
It's not bad for the shrimp, just annoying for the fish keeper if the shrimps end up brown. They won't all end up brown, just you'll start seeing brown shrimps a few generations down the line. All the various coloured 'cherry shrimps' were made by selectively breeding plain brown wild shrimps and mixing the colours means the offspring don't stay that colour if a male of one breeds with a female of another colour.

no it might actually be good for them since it gives them more genetic diversity
