I dont know if this is where im supposed to post this but its an emergency none the less. My water parameters in my 10 g are horrible. THIS IS A FISH IN CYCLE. I decided to get into fish keeping recently and i did not know any better about cycling before putting fish in. I have been battling the tank ever since and i now know to do fishless cycles going forward. the tank has 4 large live plants in it. Ammonia looks like 0-0.25 ppm. Nitrite looks to be 2.0 ppm, and nitrates look to be at 20 ppm heading towards 40 ppm. I have recently rehoused one of my fish to a different tank in helps to remove bio load. I have a Betta, platy, 2 african dwarf frogs and some shrimp in the tank. please dont harass me about the stocking. I am trying to give them the best lives possible and they all seem to be happy in the tank still. How am i able to better my water parameters

75 - 80% water changes twice a day until its cycled. Changing water won't slow the cycle. Minimal feeding twice a week only is enough for the fish. No idea about ADFs but they don't do well in tanks with fish (no harassment but you need to know that).
Don't bother testing nitrates until the nitrites are zero. The test tests for both so the nitrate reading will be wrong.

If you are able to get some fast growing floating plants throw these in - Amazon frogbit and water sprite are ideal.

okay i will continue to do the water changes and ill look at moving the adf into another tank potentially, they do seem happy in their current tank however. thank you for the response
