Hi, so I noticed one of the males in my ember tetra school is super skinny. All the other tetras are fat, sure males are tiny but this one is way more tiny and maybe a little bent?
It is active, swimming and eating normally.
Should I change something or take some precautions?
The picture is not that clear, having a seethrough tank is not that great sometimes

I read about tetra disease, not sure if it is it, it fed in the morning, but as a precaution I took it out of the tank and put it in the quarantine. I am mostly sure it is a death sentence with the stress of the move and it being alone in a new tank, but is fully planted, so will see

I tried different picture but oh boy the fish will not stop moving

I have an Asian Rummynore that's the same. I put it down to age. It still feeds well, still shoals and otherwise does all the things a fish should do.
It looks horrible, but hey, I ain't no Picasso myself....

You are right, It is true all my harlequin rasboras looked similar before dying, once they reached like 4 or 5 years, longer, thinner, a bit bent. But I have had this tetra for 6 months tops, sure who knows how old it really is

Here's the Asian Rummynose. Thin and washed

out

If anyone is interrested, I am on a third day of treatment against parasites and everything (the Esha2000 i mentioned before) and daily targetted feeding of this fish in quarantine, and it looks almost back to normal. Will change water tomorow and return it to its school.
This ofcourse brings a question, if the tank has something unhealthy within and if I should treat the whole tank, which I do not want to do cause of the shrimp and snails.

Hmmm. If I had a spare tank I'd try that myself.
