You have several options, but first we need to know the water parameters, and these are the hardness (GH) and pH primarily. You may be able to find this data on the website of your water authority, if you do not already know.

"Nano" fish which refers to small sized (at maturity) fish are well suited to this tank, and you could have quite a number. Most will be shoaling fish, meaning they must be in a group of their own species, say 10 or whatever depending upon the species. Many of these are soft water fish, but there are some lovely moderate to hard water fish too.

That's my parameters I'm not sure what any of them mean😊

Total hardness is general hardness, and the two units we use in the hobby are dG (degrees German) and ppm (parts per million) which is the same as mg/l (milligrams per liter). So GH at 10 dH (175 ppm) is moderately hard and not a problem. [We can round up the numbers for ease.]

So what fish would you recommend for these water parameters in 100 liters

From the livebearers, you could have Endlers' Livebearers, guppies, platies. Swordtails get too large, and mollies need more hardness to be well.

Among softer water fish that will not have issues with the GH, Ember Tetra, Neon Tetra, Corydoras catfish (if you have sand for the substrate), Lambchop rasboras, honey gourami. I'd come up with more given the time, but look at these on Seriously Fish.

Thank you very much for your help I will do a bit more research on fish I like then I will send a few of my stocking ideas

I have two ideas do far:
1)about 6 endler guppies with a honey gourami and a colony of cherry shrimp.
2)this is more an oddball selection but a group of about 4-5 dwarf puffer fish

Or my third option would be a Betta fish with either rummy nose tetras, cardinal tetras, chilli rasboras or ember tetras.

As has already been said, bettas are not community fish. I would choose a different 'centrepiece' fish.

If you really really want a betta, you could always find a corner for a tank around 25 litres ;)

That would be perfect for a betta on his own :)

Edit - that's the same size as my shrimp tank, which used to be my betta tank.

I already have a heater, a 500litre per hour hob filter and a light all that I had on it before

The filter is a all pond solutions one and I think that the flow would be ok with it turned down to the minimum

If that's still too strong there are ways to baffle a filter.
