what can i put with my betta?!

Hey,

i have my one male betta in a 3 gal tank with 1 snail. I really want to put something else in there with him as i dont trust myself to make a good enough divider to put another betta in, and no where around me sells them

The tank has no filter or heat, but stays around 24 degrees celcius. Is there anything that can go in with him or will i have to buy a filter before i can buy another fish?! (Im a student so money is kind of an issue!lol)

you could put an Oto with him.. they're cute little fish and aren't badly priced. i'm not sure of what else.

I wouldnt risk putting an otto in an unfiltered tank...they're really really sensitive to water quality. shirmp maybe? I dunno about their requirements though.

African Dwarf frogs can go in an unfiltered tank Just make sure you get dwarf frogs and not clawed frogs

besides, otos have to be in groups to be happy

ADFs sound pretty good

Ok, just got back!!! I ended up getting the filter (which is going back tomorrow and being replaced as its too strong!!lol) and two albino cories. I called them Cory and Dora lmao They didn't have any oto's in any of the 3 shops i went to but apparently cories should be ok!

Here's a picture - really bad quality but they dont stop swimming around!!!!

They are the cutest little things! Im not sure if im going to put anything else in... I really need to get it all sorted out properly, the filter is terrible!!! But once ive done that i may do... The question is, what?!lol

Awwww that's a pretty coloured betta. You might want to put some sand in for those cories, just put in a dish of it if you don't wanna swap it all out.

what kind of filter is it?

good luck finding a filter suitable for ur betta, i've gone through two different ones that hurt mine's fins and the second one the lps guy said was the weakest one they had!!!
