Hello fish fam!
Everyone knows the ongoing war against pest snails that travel in on plants…. And I’ve been having my assassin snail on overtime in bouncing him between my various infested tanks (should probably get one assassin snail per tank huh) and he’s definitely helped quite a bit in keeping their numbers down

But last night I noticed one of the pest snails had managed to grow quite big, so ofc I took pictures and I am now here to identify Mr. Pest.

He’s in my female tank, 20 gallons, and yeah one of my nirate snails has laid eggs all over my decorations but it’s a freshwater tank so the eggs -shouldn’t- hatch but who knows.

And the algae looks so much worse in the pictures. It did not look that bad in person but I’m gonna scrub it off anyway.

Also I meant to put this in the general discussion thread whoops

This thread is fine... general is for non fish stuff... Its a harmless pond/bladder snail... These guys will eat algae and decaying plants... Just dont over feed otherwise they will breed like crazy

I agree :) they can get pretty big too so the size isn't unusual
