So let me start off by saying @FishLady18, I tried to private message you about this matter yesterday but your profile settings do not allow it. I greatly appreciate all the reactions from you on my posts, its nice to see... But today I had over 70 notifications (about 10 were from other people)... So, all I'm asking is for you to kindly refrain from reacting AS MUCH. I'm not saying to stop completely, just not to do as many.

Doubt this should be in the tropical discussion but w/ever. Unfortunately, this is just how notifications work with the forum. Apologies if this comes across as rude, but are there not bigger things to worry about? For me, knowing that the things I've said are useful is helpful.

Click onto your profile in the top right hand corner of your screen, then select the "Preferences" section. Click again into the preferences section, and uncheck this box. It should work accordingly. Hope this helps.

The thing is, I love to see the reactions... especially if its a laugh, or if someone is mad at what I said. I just wanted to bring this up is all.
 
Reactions are nice because it allows one to gauge the overall reception of a post, without cluttering up the thread with additional posts e.g.

This also helps in a communications channel void of the usual IRL facial and body cues

e.g. the Green checkmark would be a gentle vertical nodding of the head (assuming Western conventions)
 
Sounds like you have a choice to make then Rocky. :rofl: I think I am responsible for like 3-5 of those reactions:look:

I know, I felt bad for making this thread but the first few times it was over 20 reactions (that was ok) but then there was a lot more... And like I said I'm the beginning, "I appreciated all the likes"
