So after I added the red root floater I saw one teeny snail so I took him out and squashed him... THEN I saw 3 more come out like: "We will avenge you my brother!" So this is one of the larger ones and ive seen these type before with the swirled shell but I dont know what their called.

Hard to tell from that photo to be honest.

Can you take a few more pics, particularly from the side if possible.

Most common snails that hitchhike to tanks tend to be pond or bladder snails, sometime ramshorn either red or blue varieties.

I’ve had Malaysian trumpet snail coming into my tank hitchhiked via live plants.

All sorts really but those are usually the most common ones, have a look for online pictures and compare those to the ones that are in your tank to see you can identify what you may have.

Thanks! I'll try to get a better pic in a few.
 
Turns out they are bladder snails! Plamt safe too... So they will probably die off to high nitrites but it gives me something to watch while the tank cycles lol
 
Was going to say either bladder or pond snail. Both are harmless and do a lot of good in the tank. I have some in my 20g long, and they don’t really seem to be overpopulating.

aww that is sad
keep water changes going, he can help out the cycle by cleaning up algae and pooping!
don't worry though they are pretty hardy!
the only thing is clean water

No, I cant do a WC yet... This morning the largest snail was on top of one of my java ferns.
