In 3 days, these 5 PetSmart platies first cleaned the algae from the driftwood, then kept going and ate Manzanitas' reddish dark brown skin. Didn't know platies had such strong jaws. Of the 5 platies, all of them are female, is that normal for PetSmart to only stock female platies?

I know that some fish stores will separate the males and females, but I imagine each petsmart might have it's own policy in the regard. I do know that platies enjoy algae and veg. I often see my pair picking at driftwood and plants.
