Hello. 👋 This is my first post. But I am unsure if my guppy is pregnant. She hasn't been around a male I don't think. I only have another female guppy in the tank. (as seen in the second picture) So I'm unsure if my guppy (the spotted tail) is pregnant. Help 😅

Oh dear.
I'm pretty sure it's a female? Males usually have gorgeous tails & the guppy in question doesn't have a pretty tail.

If u look at the 3rd pic see how 1 fin is out the the other is more to the body that would be a male. Here is a pic of 2 of my male guppy

Well, that's great to know. I've been calling him a her 🥲
What do I do though? I've never had a pregnant guppy before. So I don't know what to do now. 😅

If u have a second tank u can put her in there so she can give birth or put the male in the tank. But watch her some fish will eat the fry when they r born.

I actually don't have a second tank. The tank I have was given to me by a friend.
I have three other fish in there, they are all Corydoras. (It's a 15 gallon)
Certainly a new experience for me. 😅

U can get a breeder box and put her in it to help keep the fry safe some fish will eat the fry. Or get floating plants or a bunch of hiding spots for the fry to hide. They will be hard to see like in this pic

I'll look for a breeder box & plants. We had two live plants but the male was picking at it & eating it a bit (I feed them daily) so.
I'm not sure how far along she is though. I recently just lost half of my fish due to a intense heat wave last week. (The tank is a 15 gallon, it used to house 4 regular sized Corydoras, 3 pygmy Corydoras, 2 otocinclus, & 4 African dwarf frogs)

After she gives birth in the breeding box, what should I do?

Watch her for a lil bit just to make sure she is done the let her back in the tank. How many fish do u have in the tank?

I currently have two guppies (the female & male) & 3 Corydoras. 2 regular sized & 1 pygmy. I also have 3 snails.
I had plans on getting more fish for it but I don't wanna stress out the female with new fish.
