Finished off a HOG DIY project I started years ago. Once my tank has cycled and I have Discus established, it will be interesting to see if this actually works. Lots of videos showing how to build, but I was lucky enough to find black trays from a garden shop, that were perfect. Over the last few years, LED lights have really come down in price, so I have a small strip (18cm) stuck to the outside of the tank. Anyway I guess in 6 months or so I'll report back if it helps / prevents algae spreading in my 330ltr tank.
