Water change

Hmm... Have you ever pondered drawing water into a brute trash can a day or two before so it gets to room temperature?.
I pre-filter water for my basement tanks into a 45g brute trash can on rollers using a submersible pump to drain and refill tanks. Because my basement is cold~ (55°F in winter) I have a couple of 300w heaters to heat the water to 76°F
A repurposed API Tap Water Filter filled with API NitraZorb, then an inline carbon filter. The wheels make it portable on the concrete floor.

That sounds like an amazing tank and from the research that I’ve done the are a few different tap attachments that you can find on Amazon, I’d seen a few before I decided to get an aqueon water changer. Have a look there a different attachments some are even universal.

I have not yet found anything that would fit this tap
But there's still the problem that I can't use hot tap water and in January the cold tap water comes out at ~7 deg C (45 deg F)

The aerator on the end of the faucet IS removable, correct?
Still, if you can't use heated water out of the tap, the tap temp would have to match your tank temps, and how often would that happen?

No, I've tried removing the aerator and it's fixed in.

Even in the middle of summer I have to use some boiling water to match the temperatures, just not as much as in winter. Around 1.25 litres per 7.6 litres in winter and 0.75 litres during a summer heatwave.
I use a 10 litre bucket filled with 7.6 litres water to refill (that's 2 gallons; my water conditioner dose is 1 drop per gallon) as I can't lift anything heavier. Even then I can only lift it onto a stool, I have to ladle the water out with a jug. If I tried pouring the water straight in from the bucket, more would end up on the floor than in the tank

Hmmm...I assumed ALL aerators were removable; they have a screen in them that eventually gets clogged, and needs cleaning...or, they can get so clogged, they need to be replaced (I've done it several times over the years.) Yours may have corrosion build-up that prevents you from removing it.

At any rate, with not being able to fully control your tap temp, it's a moot point for you, anyway.

Of all the taps we've had, in various rooms, I've never been able to remove the aerator. I usually just clean them with a toothbrush.

My tap is exactly like that and I’m able to remove the aerator without any problems, try using a a little cardboard I’m between a pair of pliers and see if that helps.

I have just been to look and finally noticed a very fine line about 1.5 cm in from the end, and it unscrewed  That's great, I've removed the aerator as I hate them. Now to go and check the other taps......

But I still can't use a hose as I can't use hot tap water :/

Well, at least you can properly clean the aerator, lol
