That looks like a war wound. could he have bumped up to a heater or something?

Nope I don’t think it’s a wound because it’s stuck to the skin like some kind of mucus.
Does it look like it’s white and fuzzy? Or does it look like it’s skin deep or deeper?
What are it’s tank mates? Anything aggressive?
For right now, clean water is your best option. If it is fungus, medication will be needed.
(It also looks like it is in a smallish tank - how big is that tank?)

I move him to 2 gal to take a closer picture, He lives in a 54 gal with bgk
no deep or fuzzy it just looklike colour.
If it’s like color, it’s most likely his skin.
Large daily water changes will help him heal. Salt will also help prevent infection.
excess mucous over a damaged area of skin.
like phoenix said, clean water and maybe a bit of salt.

@Colin_T I need help with this too, cherry barbs lying on the bottom of the tank and do weird swimming stuff.
Also sorry for the Tetra whisper sound, It’s more of a cough than whisper.
Does the cherry barb sink when it stops swimming?
Part of the swimming is due to the current in the tank but if the fish sinks to the bottom when it stops swimming, then it has a swim bladder problem, and they can't be treated.

Yep, she’s sink when stops.
It has a problem with the swim bladder then and will be like that until it dies.
Reduce the currents/ water movement in the tank so it doesn't have to swim as much to stay in place and euthanise it when it loses weight or gets worse.
