@Deanasue it depends how many females you got. They release hormones when they spawn which can trigger others to spawn too. After they start though they often will regularly spawn afterwards, every few weeks or so
the smallest one may be male, usually male paleatus are 3/4 the size or less of the females, have a taller more pointed dorsal fin, and usually have brighter iridescence to themHi your cories are awesome! I have only 3 cories left because I lost some a few weeks ago .but they are spawning now . Do they spawn if there is no male ? Can you tell from any of these photos if any of them are male !
Thanks . I hope so .and would they normally spawn if there was no male ?the smallest one may be male, usually male paleatus are 3/4 the size or less of the females, have a taller more pointed dorsal fin, and usually have brighter iridescence to them
Yes I got about 20 last Saturday and some on Tuesday that mostly got gobbled up before I found them and I got another 20 or so yesterdayAre they still laying eggs?
Some will still spawn without a male.Yes I got about 20 last Saturday and some on Tuesday that mostly got gobbled up before I found them and I got another 20 or so yesterday
Some will still spawn without a male.
Check later today or tomorrow to see if the eggs are fertile or not. If infertile they will turn bright white and not seethru
