Is it better to have a slightly fluctuating neutral ph or a consistent aLkaline? My tap water gh is ~50ppm and ph is 8.2. Is this okay for bettas?

A stable pH is better than fluctuating.
I added almond leaves to my new bettas tank and he has managed to hide underneath of it lol.

Haha here’s better fish and tank pics. I have a big order of plants coming in to fill this baby up. But this is Saturn! Every pic on here he is laying at the bottom but he actually swims around a lot haha
