So Many Babies

oh I want one!!!!!!!!!
The parrots or the baby catfish??? Lol

I got 2 cockatiels, 10 years old. I've had them since babies. In the video, that was my tone-deaf male saying "what are you doing?" Over and over and over lol

They're a bit scruffy because they're molting due to the severe heat wave we are in, but photos of the noisemakers.

My female, who is my snuggly baby. Loves cuddles and is super gentle. Even toddlers can pet her.

My male, who is a little turd, bites and gets really mad if you pet the female lol he asks you to pet him by putting his head down, but its a trap. He will chomp your finger lol he's moody but he's goofy and we love him anyways.

Oh look. Yet ANOTHER nest. With more babies too. Look under the small piece of driftwood.

My poor subordinate girl is looking so bad, the dominant female keeps beating her up. If it gets worse I will have to separate them.

I even rearranged the tank to try to reduce the spawning because theyre getting so nasty with each other. But that failed.

I did add more plants. So much for going blackwater with minimal planted plants. Not gonna work out lol

Beautiful, I had parakeets and love birds years ago. They flew free in the house when I was home but spent most of their time on my shoulders. The pair of love birds were rescues. I have too many pets to have them again (already asked my wife);)

We had lovebirds years ago too. They lived to 9 years old. But they had a nightfright one night and both died in it. Funny little birds though. Theyre adorable and steal your heart, but man the female was a little piranha lol

I'm hoping to still have another 10 or more yeara left with my cockatiels though. But they will probably be my last birds.

Unfortunately, the heat wave we are having is starting to affect my fish even though all of my heaters are off.

Tank temperatures are sitting at 84F at room temperature.

This has been ongoing for the last 2 weeks and is supposed to continue for even more time. It is currently 115F today outside. We have 2 air conditioners running and it is not enough to cool our home down lower than 84F.

I am going to have to figure out how to cool the fish tanks down as many of my species prefer cooler water. Maybe make some dechorlinated water ice cubes for the tanks needing it to be cooler.

One of my smaller cory fry passed away because of this ongoing heat wave.

The heat wave is also triggering the spawning in the species that like a jump in temperature to spawn (my sparklers, kubotai rasboras, neon tetras, and dwarf gourami)

We have been having rain every day for several days in a row now and very heavy at times, I have not walked down to the river but I am sure it has flooded more than it already was. Have the AC on with this hot and muggy weather. Sorry about your fry.

Cool, good luck, your going to run out of room soon with all the young :fish:
I'm likely keeping the pygmy babies as I did want a bigger school of them now they're in my 20 gallon...

But holy moly so many.

Husband: "no more fish tanks!"
Fish: **keep having babies**

I just have one question.

Have you been slipping aphrodisiacs into your tank, these fish are at it!
Must be something in the bug bites. It's the one common food they ALL eat.... lol

I know the feeling, Both my platy and guppy have new fry and my wife says no more tanks.
Tupperware totes :p

I'm going to be listing my platy youngsters soon. They're old enough to go to homes
