German blue rams

In future, it's best that you observed the fish and the tanks in the fish store before buying.

In my opinion, if your fish died a few days after you brought them home, there are high chances that the fish were already sick while in the fish store.
But if most fish died, then there might be something wrong with your water such as toxic/chemical in the water.

Learn how to observe the fish and tanks condition in the fish store before buying them to avoid bringing back sick fish that will bring disease into your aquarium.

Fish to avoid are fish that are pale in colour, having clamp fins, fish scratching against objects, heavy/fast breathing, having white spots on their bodies/fins/tail, sunken belly/stomach, eyes too big and not proportion to their bodies, abnormal growth on the body, fish hiding at one corner or bottom of the tank, etc.
All these are symptoms of sick fish with disease or bad water condition in the fish store.
If there are sick fish in the tank, it's best to avoid buying from the same tank as it may infect the rest of the fish.

GBR tends to have gill fluke(symptom: fish breathing heavily) or internal parasite/worm (symptom: sunken stomach).

The only thing that stands out to me is the activity level of all the fish. These are all sedate, quiet fish--angelfish, rams, cardinals--and they should be cruising gently. One thing might be that bubble wall. What sort of filter do you have? Too much water movement will stress these fish.

The ram that did die other day was really pale in color compared to the other 2 & was in a different tank at the store I usually do look at the fish in the store before buying... about the water movement the angels are usually just cruising around unless someone feeds them they go to where person is but I have a value adjuster for the air bar I have I do leave it low MOST THE TIME NOT ALL THE TIME should I leave it off just have it for oxygen since I heard its good... & filter is a fluval 50 which I turn down to about half way too..

If the filter provides sufficient/adequate surface disturbance so the normal exchange of CO2/oxygen occurs, that is all you need with these fish. I know some people like those bubble walls, but they are not that good for fish and you do have sedate fish which live in fairly quiet waters like lagoons, slow streams, and flooded forests.

So about 3 days ago one of the rams was having white poop... went into the fish store I got them from & they said I should wait couple days before actually dosing the tank with any medication so I have but now that ram is hiding in a skull cave I have since yesterday was being active before till yesterday night was at the bottom of tank this morning & all day has been in that cave & didn’t come out to eat either & yesterday also saw one of my angel was it too I think :( had the angels the longest.
When I added the cardinals & rams started all this :/ & water has been testing fine did a water change couple days ago when someone on an earlier reply suggested I should for my fish dying...

When fish is having white poop, it means there are internal infections.(internal worms, protozoa or bacteria).
I think you can try to deworm first.
Why did the lousy shopkeeper told you to wait? The longer you wait, the slimmer the chances to save them.

There are a few medications that you can use.
I use Flubendazole but its not cheap.
The name of the medication is called Wormer Plus but it contains mainly Flubendazole.

Please read my atrached files which Colin used to write for us.

Lastly, is there any other symptoms than white poop, fish hiding, fish not eating?
Does the fish have sunken belly/stomach, fish breathing fast, etc?
Sometimes there might be more than one disease. You have to learn to observe the symptoms.

He said it might just be cleaning it’s system out... to wait before I med the tank & fish was fine 3 days ago was eating swimming around yesterday all day was hiding like laying on the rocks nothing today moved from that spot but still just at bottom of tank didn’t eat either been 2 days without eating & at bottom of tank

Share a Dropbox with 2 vids ram I’m worried about the one that last color & can’t keep afloat

The rams in both videos are respirating much too fast, so something is certainly amiss. i realize in the one you were chasing them with a net, and that sends a fish into the most extreme form of stress, but even in the other video both rams are respirating rapidly. The one in the net video is having severe difficulty swimming too.

I am not going to guess as to causes. This species is extremely delicate.

They are both the same one just one was on Friday & net was last night was trying to see if it would swim but he wasn’t swimming away just going right back down. What could cause the fast breathing

Seems like the shopkeeper is trying to con you.
All fish/animals are greedy for food.
Any fish that is not eating is sick.

I find that Blue Rams often have gill flukes and internal parasites/worms.
The gill flukes will damage their gills and by the time they are breathing fast, it means its at quite terminal stage.
It might be hard to save at this time but you can still try if you want to.

1)The quickest solution now is to use salt.
If you are medicating in your tank, you can use 1 tablespoon of salt for every 10 liters of water.
But if you want to do a quick dip, you can do a higher dosage but I am not sure about the dosage. Some will add salt until it roll over but may be hard to monitor.

2)If you have Potassium Permanganate or Formalin, you can also do a quick dip and these two are very effective to kill the flukes(parasites). But these two may damage some gills at the same time. I think salt is safer.

For internal parasites/worms with symptom of white poop, you can use the medication that I mentioned earlier.

By the way, does the your fish store has some kind of guarantee. Can you return the fish and ask for refund or change to other fish?
