Getting a new betta tommorow!

I just need some info on how to prevent diseases in betta splendens. As a starting point I will feed my new boi once every two days to prevent bloating and will do 50-75% water changes weekly and vacuuming every week. Any other tips on healthy betta?

Feeding once every two days is not enough. I know a big deal is always made about bettas easily bloating if they get fed too much, but I have never had a problem with this. And, if you don't feed him enough, he will be more susceptible to sicknesses.
I feed my betta twice every day. You don't have to give him too much at each feeding, but it is actually healthier to break up the food into several small feedings instead of one big one.
