I have a bunch of new inhabitants in my 55 gallon this morning!  I found Scissor Tails and got 3 of them to add to the 2 I already have.  I got 6 White Cloud Minnows, 5 more Neon Tetras, a Rubbernose Pleco.   I really wanted to get a bunch of Ghost Shrimp but I didn't want to put them in my 55 and my 10 is not cycled yet. So I skipped those.

The Scissor Tails I had are so happy to have more of their kind.  I have one really big one, he/she has been in my tank since 2008.  It is my oldest fish and largest fish.

I have 3 Pristella's that I wanted to get more tank mates for, but alas, Pet Smart did not have any.

I have 15 Neon Tetras now. I have wanted a larger school for years, but it was hard to get them to live from the pet store I used to use in Hot Springs.  I am so glad I found Pet Smart in Texarkana. They obviously take care of their fish. I have bought 2 bunches there over the last couple of months and I have not lost a fish I got from there yet.   They even put air in the bag, the way fish stores used too, I am very impressed especially since it is a big chain and those don't usually get very good reviews on their fish care.  But I am deliriously happy to have found them

I share your appreciation of Neons, Julielynn, even though they are not the easiest of fish to keep.

I have 12 at the moment and they have a lot of personality when in a group and have become quite with interactive me around meal times.

I'm often mesmorised by the brilliance of their colouring and their quirky nature and they will always form an integral part of any aquarium set-up I have

Sorry the pictures are not very clear. They just would not stop darting around. LOL

The second picture is of my oldest one.  I have had this fish since 2008. He is between 3 and 4 inches long.  I don't think he will grow any larger.

Neons, in the right tank and set up, are stunning in large numbers. I really do like these colourful little chaps, just a shame theyre not particularly hardy as they once were. But still very nice nonetheless.

And I've always liked scissortails, I do see them from time to time at some of my LFS, but dont have a tank big enough for them.

One day ;)

(I say that for Rummynoses as well  )
