What's it's consistency? Is if fluffy or hard? Does it come off easy if scrapped on?

Well I have baby snails and they are very cool.the parent snail is still laying on the same bit of the tank.i think my turbos are cleaning most of them up though.will be good if i could get them into adulthood.
