this is one of my less red shrimpies, I've named them and all their future descendants jellybean, incase anyone was wondering. Just curious though does that mean it's a male (the fact that it's less red)
Male Red Cherry Shrimps tend to be almost colourless, transparent almost sometimes.
Depends on grades of your shrimps, it is possible that may be a male if high graded.
May have some spots of red but clearly not as colourful as females, also males are a bit smaller than females as well.
I have lots of males and females in my tank and both sexes are easily to tell apart almost instantly, you will get to know given a little time observing and seeing berried females is cool as well. My tank has a LOT of little shrimplets going about their daily business
