Art Critique Thread

personally I would make it a night scene. Stars in the background and maybe a crescent moon. I'm not being negative though. It's a very lovely picture thanks for sharing. It looks really good but the background space between the clouds just looks a bit bare

Thank you! I thought the space was abre too...but was at a loss as to what to put there...you've given me some great ideas to try out! :)

I really like your work, and I really like the idea of this thread!

Here's some of my art, and yes, I consider it art. Some of it is legal and some of it is not (admins I hope this isn't a problem, if it is I will delete this) Comments/reccomendations welcome :)

I'll add a painting a see what you guys make of it.

I visited scotland a few years ago up on a beach on the sound of mull. The hills are an impression of the isle of mull.
Beautilful place :D

Its painted using acrylic on canvas.

I have quite a few but I never get round to framing them! It's on the to-do list so I can actually put them up on the wall.

A copy of a painting by Edvard Munch that I did when I was 16. Oils.

An etching I did. Again, age 16.

ink drawing. Yet again, age 16.

All the pics I have on my computer are ones I did age 16. I am 23 now and have improved a bit. But I had time on my hands aged 16, and liked to take photos, whereas now I'm a busy mum and I don't.

I try to paint and find it very difficult at times. So I only do the odd one here and there. I use acrylic paints because its cheap and easy to acquire at any store but acrylics can be a pain as it dries to quick.
I must admit there are a lot of good artwork on this site.....love how people explore their imaginations very talented indeed.
