I'm pretty sure it is not, it's not gold, the finnage is too spikey and it's around 4 inches long, but it does resemble a Ram, i'm with you about that.

Yes, for a while I thought it was a firemouth but then I noticed it had no 'firemouth'.

Female 'firemouths' don't necessarily have to have the trademark red throat. Although that doesn't look like any kind of female firemouth to me.
