This should look good when grown in.

I do have one suggestion, try rotating the wood 180 and moving the piece that sticks up down a bit so it sticks out diagonaly upwards like this [/ ].

I will add more pictures once the plants have grown in ;) let me know what you think so far :)

wow really nice tank. i just showed my mum your CO2 system to try to persuade her stunning tank and fish. id attach some moss to the top of the wood if it was mine. :good:

cant wait to see it grow out

Thanks for the suggestion! I did what you suggest originally but then decided that the side of the wood wasnt a nice enough colour and turned it back around ;) lol i may have to have another look at turning it around :)

Thanks a lot :) my dad needed some convincing as well as he was worried about it exploding :/ I persuaded him by saying that it would be in my room so it would only kill me if it did explode <- worked like a charm ;) lol I was looking at some moss to attatch to the wood but couldn't find one that was attractive and attaches itself to the wood (other than java moss, not pretty enough :p ), if you know of one then I'd be really greatful if you could let me know :)

Why do you use CO2?

Nice tank :D
it helps the plants grow. the HC loves it (sorry OP)
Hahaha no worries mate you just beat me to it ;)

flame moss, christmas moss, weeping moss, Taiwan moss, pecock moss, Singapore moss. there is loads. warrior moss

iv been trying to convince my mum for about 4 weeks. im setting up a yeast one atm, and dosing easy carb. so im hopeing it will work for awhile

But would it not be bad for the fish? What is HC? Thank you for the answer and sorry OP for asking questions on your thread
It can be bad for the fish if you pump too much CO2 into the aquarium so you basically have a safe limit which provides CO2 for the plants but doesn't go so high that it gases the fish :) HC (heminathus Callitrichoides) is the small plant that is at the very front of the aquarium :) dont be sorry for asking questions either, please feel free to do so as its the best way to learn ;)

Oooh flame moss, weeping moss and peacock moss all look really good :D thanks for the tips!! yeah im sure a DIY system would work just as well, Im just too lazy to do one myself and wanted a plug & forget sort of system :p lol

i want a plug and forget system as well.. also there more stable so less chance for algae to take hold. personally i love HC now. (my foreground plant as well.

Thank you for answering :D How interesting, I would like to have a set up like that to keep my plants living better but they seem to be okay at the moment, so many considerations!!
