Hi there! I have these two fish that I can't find in Dr. Axelrod, so I was wondering if you all could help me out. I've had them about six months, but can't remember what they are. The store said they're the same kind...just don't remember the name :rolleyes:
Here's the first (not the johanni, the blue one with the stripes ;) )

maybe kennyi/maylandia lombardoi i have some my favorite fish
EDIT-> i am actually pretty sure that's what it is great fish to keep with the aurarus could be some of your killers too
 
I know what this one is, she's my murderer! Any South Park fans? Everytime I look at this fish I get a certain song about Kyle's mom in my head... :whistle:
She is a nice (looking) fish IMO, so I just thought I'd throw her in 8)

The fish in the tank range from 2-4"

Yeah, I wondered if they were killers too, I didn't think that Auratus could finish off two fish in one night...that yellow one is pretty nippy too...
 
I wander why he's yellow though males should be orange and females blue with dark blue stripes, I have seen yellow ones and all cichlidaddict said was they can change color at any given moment

Has it always been yellow?
 
I think that picture does him justice, lemme go check... :whistle: yep, that's what he looks like! I haven't ever noticed any color changes...he gets brighter when I feed them, but other than that...
 
Definitely look like kennyi to me as well....and depending on the fish....any mbuna can be a killer...especially a pseudotropheus IMO. :nod: Labs and Melanochromis not so much. :no: :D Beautiful fish Sorrell! Can I havem? :hey:

I will trade you some demasoni, caeruleus, brichardi and savoryi for them! :hyper:

Speaking of demasoni...I think I only have 2 left in the 180.....I suspect I have a demasoni eater in there??? Sammy says he didn't do it....and then he made this face.... :whistle:

...but speaking of needing to find new fish for your tank, Sorrell. I think a couple more Johanni would be awesome, even better would be some maingano, if you can find 'em. You already have pretty good color contrast with the kennyi and the auratus...maybe a couple more auratus as well? I have never had any of them before...very pretty fish. :nod:

As for sterile brichardi, a.k.a. devil's spawn (funny that they are known as fairy-fish :lol: ) I don't think they come in sterile. :huh: Just Super/Ultra/Mega fertile strengths. :lol:

....and and and...I won't get lost in the americas!!! I found Julies town no prob! (okay, maybe I got a "little" lost.... :*) )
 
Hows this then, go visit Julie (no arguments there I suspect ) don't get lost, just follow the love :wub: I'm going to California in August, so I'll just head up there and we'll make the trade, deal? Sweet. B)

Seriously though I just got a bunch of new rocks, so I'm going to make all new territories and then I'll add more fish. Good plan, yep. :nod:
