Could someone please post pictures of what a platy will look like when it is pregnant will give birth with 12 hours. 1 day. 3 days. 5 days and a week?

I have a red platy that's been preggo for maybe a little less than 4 or 5 wkd

Not the answer they were looking for i think!

If you go into the live breeders section of the forum there are loads of photos/threads in there of each stage

Notice in the picture above, the platy has a squared off abdomen. That is a clear sign she will give birth within a a day or two, though not all platy's will square off. Every fish is different. Stress can cause them to birth before they are ready.

My platy looks almost exactly like that. Shes not completely squared off in the front but she almost is and other than that her stomach looks exactly like that. Maybe 2 days I think?

Is that pic of platy not pregnant a joke or do they just look like that

That's what I thought cause that appeared today and she looks like that 24 hour platy in photo do you think shell birth overnight or a little longer?

I hope it is and isn't overnight. I want to see it happen ( that most likely won't happen) but I really want to save the babies
