Agree eloda works well. it also oxygenates the tank. are you sure that stand can support that. it look a liitle slim to be holding 125litres and the tank itself with ornaments etc.

lol yes welded solid steel :) how many goldfish can fit in a 125 litre tank

elodea works well in unheated tanks, as does cabomba I think... :unsure:

thank you very much do u know how much goldfish this tank could hold i have 2 fan tails right now :) x

goldfish need 20 gallons each when fully grown. they can get up to 10" you could get away with 3 fantails as they on reach about 5"

goldfish get rather large and are really messy, personally id turn it into a tropical tank greater variety of fish you can keep then

I'd upgrade to an external asap. Goldfish poop for England (as I'm sure you know!) :lol:

lol they do indeed what external filter do u recomend :)

filter depends on what your budget allows you too buy eheims are very good but can be pricey fluval are common but some people have problems with them tetratec also seem to be a good brand just depends which one you want to go for

I have an APS and it's great. The EF1000 is only £40 and would be sufficient for what you need IMO.

Agreed. I have the APS 1400l on a four foot; the 1000lph would be perfect for your tank (and no leaking because of the UV sleeve either :crazy: )

haha you had that as well :lol: :rolleyes:
What a nightmare couple of hours that was :crazy:

Course, I'd put the UV in the first one I had as I thought it might be of some use at the time, so had no problems with that one.

Looks like maybe we should be recommending the 1400lph model, even for this tank, according to this thread;

:crazy: Would be fine with the spray bar, I think.

So using your logic i can keep a 10" goldfish in a 24x15x15? :crazy:
atleast 40 gallon per goldfish, i'd say one, MAYBE 2 goldfish in a 125L and an internal is utterly useless with goldfish, over filtering is almost a neccesity with such a messy species, so get an external :good:
