The filter box has lumps like something has hit it from the inside? Is the plastic separating or something. The lumps are rock hard?




also to anyone looking, i know this is an ancistrus... any idea how big he/she ill grow? i think its a female from what i read as no bristles on the nose.

No idea about filter - sorry.

The BN is a female and will reach around 5-6".

I haven't seen this, but I do also have a Juwel filter and tank.
I can only suggest something got sucked into the filter and as it's passed has caused bumps? But I don't see how it would have got through the filter sponges. Is your filter still working fine?

yeah everything is still working fine.. more seem to be appearing so im thinking something in the plastic is going "funny" my external APs should be arriving today so im going to rip the juwel box out once i get the external running and find somewhere to hide the heater

its just over a year old... i have decided to get an external now so pulling it out soon anyway.
