soz bout the double post. they are aquatic, ive had them both for a year and theyve grown well.If that is the whole tank, it is too small for the fish you have. Also you should remove the weights off the plants and spread them out so that they can grow. The white and green plant at the back is not aquatic and will rot in the tank: take it out and pot it.
And please don't double post
What species is it?they are aquatic, ive had them both for a year and theyve grown well. The white and green plant at the back is not aquatic and will rot in the tank: take it out and pot it.
Rasboras also need the swimming space, I recommend just smaller sized schoolers because of that.Neons are a bit of a no-no for short tank IMO, as are most tetras because of the way they swim.
I'm guessing thats a 3-spot? Fish that can grow up to 15cm and need tanks of 200L because of their aggressive and territorial nature in small tanks.
[...] take out the gourami and probably the neons and add maybe rasboras?
There are many other factors that will come into a play with this in the situation you describe. My opinion is that Harlequin Rasbora's will be fine in a 60 litre, but if possible go for T.espei or T.hengeli instead (a smaller more attractive species in the Trigonostigma genus).[My friend and I got harequins from the same tank, on the same day. She has a 2ft 60 ltire, I had a 3ft 215 litre. For the first 6 months of the fish in the tank, I had to look after hers because she had to go abroad, so the fish were receiving identical care. She lives in my area, so tank and tap water parameters are identical. We bulk buy food together, so that is also identical. I planted her tank out of my own, so even the plants were identical. She seeded her filter from mine, so the filter media was identical too. All maintenance and care was identical. Basically, except for volume of the tanks, there was absolutely no difference between her set-up and mine. Her harlequins were 1/2-2/3 of the size of mine and had poorer colour 6 months down the line.]
