Cool fish. What are his behaviors?

ALASKA
he mostly stays in this cave for the day. then at night he comes out and eats. he filters eating alge and whaever fits into his mouth (doesnt really eat fish but i think we will when he can fit them into his mouth) he will get about 18 inches long

dragon goby/ Very nice fish dude had one myself but only for about two months as i could not get him to eat. mine was about 8" long but very thin i loved him because of the strange fish that they are. mine came from wharf aquatics @ notts very good for all oddballs they know everything poss i am sure.. :fun:

Thay're brackish right? I saw some at my LFS. They were picking gravel up and moving it around. To creepy for me. Or are they? :shifty:

They had like 4 of them at petsmart once when I went in there. They scare the crap outta me. The way they skim the top of the water. They also came at me when I leaned towards the tank. Like attacked the tank.

Gobioides broussonnetii and Gobioides peruanus. The first G.broussonnetii is a truely brackish water fish and cannot survive for long periods in fresh water, the second G.peruanus is found in both brackish and freshwater and can happily live in either as long as the PH is not at an extreme. Both are nearly identical with only slight differences, the first fish has been recorded to reach 25" while the other only 15". Both species are filter feeders and can be difficult to feed unless you have a good supply of small live foods such as daphnia and young brine shrimp as they can have difficulty swallowing larger foods, once the fish is around 10" in length they can also manage bloodworms and glassworms. :)

Nice dragon gobi. I've got one that's about 11" long and he lives in a community tank that also has loads of fry. I've never ever seen him eat any of them - in fact they play around with him and I've actually seen one small fry swim into his open mouth and out again, untouched.
