no plecs are nice lookin, hoplo catfish are just as ugly, but to the owner they grow on them and they become darn cute

If there's only one left, the bets thing to do is to wait for better stock, because the last ones are either the worst or the ones no one wants.
That individual isn't necessarily ugly, it's the way it should look. You might be better off going with an oto or another type of plec if you can't stand the look of that one.

That can't be algae, it's impossible, you can't even see the back of the tank! Take impur's advice and investigate your water quality before adding more fish.SConrad said:i think thats algae....

my water, well, it's now a big problem, my ph, amonia, hardness ect is all normal, i had an algea prob. like that before, it went away, but this time it's like impossible, i emptied almost all the water and replaced it with new conditioned water and it didn't help. i thought it was because i had too many fish, so i only kept 2, 3 with my pleco, gave 9cons away, water is still the same, i guess i'll have to wait and see what miracles my pleco will do, i've only had him for couple days. if you have any sugesstions on how to make my water clear, please feel free to post some, all help is better than none
