Just went upstairs with some tea for my mum , and she looks at me and says what do you want...? So i explained about the java moss and she said okay, aslong as i pay for it..

Sort of thing id do and my mum would say

remember to get some liquid fry food aswell, will feed them + microscopic things which they will also eat.

Yesterday i purchased some liquifry for eg laying fish... should this be okayy?

Tank Looking good i personally dont use methylene blue,for one it can mess your filter around,i find putting an airstone in with the eggs works pretty well for me. personally choice.

Not sure on the eggs...they look furry to me... do they look white/furry to you? if so then they're probably no good and need removing before it affects the others.

Be careful with liquidfry,it can seriously mess up your water/and leave a film around the tank.only use a weeny bit after the first 24 hours after they hatched.
Alot of peeps use live food for fry,i've tried microworm but end up getting too much for the fry to eat,so now rear them on finely crushed flakes (tetramin baby) and defrosted baby brine shrimp.and they do fine

When you change the tank water to clear out the methyane blue use the water from the adult tank same goes when doing daily w/c on the fry tank,this encourages growth of the wee fry.

What works for one may not work for another,but i've had good success rate with my fry lately, just sold 45 juvi's to the lfs

about the eggs.. When i look at them they do not seem furry or fluffy, they are kind of clear with a white dot in the middle of them.. sound fertile or not

I'm not sure if this photo is any better than the other i posted, but here goes anyway..



If you look towards the back of the photo, against the wall there are some eggs that look quite clear... but im not sure what its like on the forum..

I have done one water change this morning and will be doing one later tonight to try and clear the methylene blue.. Is it okay if there is a little bit left in?

i never had any probs with liquifry, live food is too much hastle for a one off thing if i was do regulary raise fry would do that tho. Also found trying to remove furry ones was alot of hastle when they are stuck together, i just left most of mine didnt seem to affect any or if they did not many.

I have Liquifry, alsorts of live food e.g blood worms, daphnia, tubifix worms etc, flake food that can be crushed.. what ever you recommend..

Theonly problem is, is i am worried that i have got all excited over infertile eggs

They are on thier 3rd day now and are still a clear colour with a dot in the middle I'm not sure if that is good or bad.. any idea?

Give them a bit longer,some can go into the fourth day depending on temperature of the tank.

My albino eggs take 3-4 days before they hatch,temp around 23 degrees

Sorry i cant tell for sure about the eggs,unless you can get a close up...eyes ain't has good has they use to be

Thats the closest i can get the picture really, my camera used to be really good but on holiday this year i realised that cameras and sand dont mix and now it wont zoom , but thanks anyway harlequin.

Fingers crossed that the eggs are fertile and they will hatch tomorow as the eggs were layed at around lunch on saturday so they are only really 3 days old tomorow at lunch time.. silly me

But if the eggs dont hatch its not all bad new as my next door neighbour (who got my into fish keeping) came knocking on the door 20 mins ago asking if i have room for some very small panda cory! of course i wanted them and i have lots of room so i said yes.. now i have 2 new panda cory both around 1 cm in size They are called Timmy and Tilly.. heres a picture of tilly next to tibbie my adult panda..

Just been to a guys house to buy juvi plecs and he had a breeeding set up for corys. He had all kinds in there of different age groups. I picked up three young Sterbai. Hope I have the same success as you

Love the pandas

Just begged my Dad to take me to pets at home to gets a breeders net, reluctantly after lots of pushing and shoving he said yes!

So i've got the net.. but something deep deep deep down inside me is i have been looking after infertile eggs for 3 days It would be a real let down, but i'll get over it and hopefully my darling corys will spawn again soon..

I'll keep the eggs for a couple more days but i really doubt the eggs are gonna do anything soon - other than start going fluffy


Simonas - Ohhhh.. I love sterbai... When i have room in my tank i'm going to bump up the amount of bronze and panda cory aswell as getting some sterbai - they are very pretty fish Are you planning on breeding from your corys?

Harlequins - Thanks, I have all my fingers crossed to! I've just given them some daphnia and they are contently chomping away I hope they do breed again, atleast when they do i will have much more knowledge on keeping the eggs
Ooohh, more Albino eehh? Good luck with them - although you probably dont need look, you seem to be amazing at rearing them anyway! Tell us how it goes!

No sign of mine hatching has yet,only 1 egg looks a bit iffy.

The albinos have been giving out a lot of bronze fry at the moment. so theres a mixture of albino & bronze fry in the tank will try to get some pics

you never know yours may hatch yet
