ta..

Try and put your cat in it and you have my answer -_-

Keeping fish in tanks like this is just plain cruel in my opinion.

No but it seems the perfect size for a cat!!

On a serious note, its 80l so i would say yeah. But, the depth of it makes me a bit

quick question

How are you going to clean the bottom of it when it's mounted on the wall?

is that even a fish tank or something for some kind of fake ornaments ????
maybe some shrimp with a bunch of wood going up..........

to be fair to the fish, it is only a side to side swimming area, nothing back to front. fish primarily swim horizontally, not vertically, and it will only allow a TINY amount of gas exchange through such a tiny surface.

in my honest opinion this is a gimmick tank created to only please the owner and cares nothing about the wellbeing of the fish put into it.

If I were you and I honestly wanted to start keeping fish properly, I would return this tank and buy a proper sized tank.

'
there wil be a UG filter tray fitted to the eheim p2 intake. plus it wont be 'mounted' in the wall....its kinda lift systam with hydraulics. match box style.. plans still on the paper. hopes it will work.

ok i am going to ditch the betta..

1o tetras and cherry shrimps would be ok i guess.

plants will be Pygmy Chain Swords and some thing red....... not sure what is it yet.

the mounted part isn't the problem - - it's the dimensions. it will really limit the swimming of the fish - - just moving in a line back and forth is not natural and fish do not normally swim in such confined spaces - - it is a cruelly proportioned tank in my honest opinion as a fish keeper.

if you had a genuine desire to keep fish, I would implore you to return this tank and buy a proper one that will not confine your fish in such a way.

i keep fish for long time.. now i have 450l tropical and 300l discus setup.

i have to re do a wall in the kitchen.. my fish minded brain decided to put a fishtank in the middile of it. i know choice of the fish is limited..
but not sure if is it ok for even tiny fish like tetras.

just after some opinians.

thanks.

to be honest, no I do not think it is acceptable for even tetras - -

again, I find that this is a tank designed purely around a human's desire to have something eye catching and "pretty" (to people who don't own fish!) and not something with the health of the fish taken into consideration.

your fish will swim to one side, do a tight turn around, and swim back...repeat repeat repeat....it is not ideal for gas exchange, cleaning, natural mobility, etc etc etc....then adding any decor what so ever will completely take huge chunks of swimming area out because there is no room to go in front of or behind a decoration without risk of becoming stuck

i cant believe anyone would keep a fish let alone several in a tank like that - and ive only just started keeping fish!

i know.. bad bad people...

mmm.. well confused.. i started this after weeks of research.

thinking.

Regardless of whether its kind to fish because of the lack of depth - I would worry about gas exchange for oxygen at the surface. Think you might have a little trouble there?? I'm no expert, though.
