I never thought i would be so excited to see water! :lol:

I'm all plumbed in.. opted for my downstairs toilet as under the kitchen sink it just would not fit!!
Here it is my first drops of RO!!
:D


When there is more than a few drops in the bottom of the container will get my TDS meter out and post my first reading.

Thats looking very tidy :good: No funny story to tell, most of us have one when fitting an RO unit :lol:

The funniest it got was when the big turn on produced nothing but gurgles and spurts along with a very wet carpet!!!! After a bit of scrambling around and tightening with the giant RO spanner all was well!

First readings with TDS meter RO 7, tap water 291, Bottled water 92.
Did everone else have a little play with their meters to start with or is it just me!!
I am holding out for a 0 reading though and will post a piccie then.
 
Just been doing my critter count and found 2 hermits missing in action :unsure:
On closer inspection found them at the back of the tank in what looks like a death grip :huh: or could it be a romantic encounter :blush: ?

Your DI unit looks backwards... granted this shouldn't matter as it's just a resin though not sure how it is setup inside to stop the resin being drawn out in the pipe line... probably doesn't matter (specially if it came pre setup).

It did come all set up, the RO fitlter below the DI unit needed to be fitted. Will double check it against the diagram in the instructions though.
 
Are those your cats in your photo MissG? Any chance of posting some photos of them in the pets section?

Finally something seems to have worked first time! I'm chuffed to bits :D

Can anyone shed some light on this?
I am sure it was not there yesterday. It is about the size of a pea and seems to have an opening towards the front.

I'm not the best in this area - although from my experience this looks like a very small sponge, or like my sea squirts just white (instead of reddish).

If it is a sponge/sea sqirt...Good or bad?
so far all my finds have been bad! :sad:
