Breeding Traps

hey every one attached are the links and picture of and idea i found for a breeding trap.
What do you think will it work or do you think it will have side effects like poisioning from the plastic.
Any idea that are not bottle would be awesome

Here it is with little platy fry inside

it could work.

is there holes in the bottle for the water to keep moving through and stop stagnation? (just not too big do that the fry can be sucked through)

i personally dont think there should be poisoning, as long as you removed all labels and cleaned it to the point of no human chemicals (fairy etc) on it

i've got a simular thing happening in my tank atm. the corys made some eggs and i never expected it so i got an old lunch box, put some holes in it and seeing how it goes. the eggs are nearly a day old so some more waiting to see if its worked.
