What Kind Of Guppy Fry Do I Have?

After buying some guppy fry for my African Clawed Frogs, I came home and realized I had a stunning looking fry. While all of the others were pure silver, this fry had a silver body, a black tail, a red lateral line and yellow spots. Beautiful!!! Did a Fancy Tail guppy get mixed in with the regular fry? I have a few guppies and have never seen any of their fry look this stunning at such a young age.

Very interested in any responses that could help me figure out how I managed to get this 15 cent beauty!!!
I can not wait for it to mature so I can figure out the gender....
I will try to take a picture of it but it is just so fast and small that no picture comes out with any clarity!

I second that. I pulled my best breeding female from the 15 cent 'feeder' tank. She is the biggest bodied 'feeder' I have ever seen and has produced me some amazing colored males. Best purchase I have ever made.

Thank you! I am thrilled...closer examination of a couple other "feeder fry" shows one with silver and pink markings....is it possible there is some endler mixing in there?

Doing research online and looking at a variety of other forums with pictures I believe the two different fry are Wild Guppies. I established them in the tank with my ADFs and am going to see what they grow in to.

With guppy fry males, you will notice certain colors they will show develop first. With my batches of fry, the males always start with pink that eventually goes to orange and then red. Then they start with the greens, then blues and eventually they start developing what ever black and white markings they are going to have. You'll just have to keep an eye out and see which of their colors comes first-it should be around the second to third month of life but by then you can already tell which ones are going to be male and which are female. Sadly, the female never get much color but are humble and cute nevertheless. Good luck and if you want an up-to-date with pictures I'd be more then happy to help you out with your fry.

That is a nice looking guppy. Probably not a wild but definitely not bred for tail size and shape.
