My first ever tropical tank which is rena 2ft x 1ft.

Was cycled for a week and I have now put in 3 black phantom tetra's as I was advised that these would be good starter fish due to their hardy nature

Any advice on how to improve the decor of this tank and future fish would would greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Great work you did,looks awesome

make sure you are testing your water and doing lots of small waterchnages. have a look thru the topic on cycling a new tank.
it is very lovely tho...i like your plants....looks great.

Great looking tank there. Make sure when you get your next fish that you get a few more of the same tetra to make them feel more comfortable.

Thanks very much for the advice so far. Just done my first water change this morning. Any suggestions on what fish will go well with the tetra's when i add some more in a few weeks? I was thinking i would quite like some neon tetra's so if i added say 5 of those and a couple more phantom tetras as suggested would there be any more room in my tank (15g) for a couple of other 2inch(ish fish?

Cheers

yes should be okay, as long as its cycled and maturing, you could do that easily and have a few more fish if you like imo as long as you keep on top of maintenance :)

Looking good, keep up with the cycling
I'd say get 6 neons, a few cardinals and some more phantoms, and a few small top dwellers, and you've got yourself a good tank.

i recomend a few more of the same tetras, another shoal of small fish and a few (3-4) corydoras.
