Tank size: 35litres (approx 7.7gallons[uk])
pH:8.0
ammonia:0.25
nitrite:0.00
nitrate:10
kH:180
gH:180
tank temp:24.1oC (75.4oF)
Had my tank for about 12 weeks. Added 3 Green Tiger Barbs & 3 orange Tiger Barbs about 4 weeks ago.
I feed them daily with a small pinch of TetraMix Crisps.
I noticed last night that one of my green barbs wasn't interested in food and I couldn't see the other 2 green barbs. All the other 3 orange coloured barbs were swimming about and eating the food as usual.
When I got home from work this evening, all 3 Green Tiger barbs were dead but the orange ones are still ok. I took them out as soon as I could and I'm going to do a 50% water change tomorrow morning. (I regularly do a 50% change each week since adding fish).
Has anyone got any idea what could have happened to kill all three green barbs at the same time and not touch the orange ones? Also are my other barbs safe?
The readings above are from a test done this evening.
(See attached photograph)
Thanks.
