Thats a good idea!! im not sure how the back works yet! but makes sence! i was hoping to find some space for some cheato!

Mate all will depend on the tank when it arrives but I would also suggest removing the bioballs and adding LR rubble instead and cheato in the next compartment along but you will need some sort of light for it. This could either be done using an internal light above the cheato or an external 1 on the back shining through the glass.

Glad to see your take it nice and slow and that you are remaining +ve after tank crash... many would have quit and gone back to FW but glad to see your not :)

nice tank :good:
does it come with the skimmer in the back already?

whats the lighting?

Yes its going be hard to take it nice and slow, But once i get the live rock in there im going let it due it corse it in own time! just be doing lots of live rock watching!

Yeah Gary,
Take things slow M8. Plan and think of the downsides to that plan, always question yourself and re-adjust that plan time and time again until your sure most of the problems envisaged are ironed out or practices can be put in place to cope with any eventualities.
All the best with your new tank, looks mighty fine for an all in one.

Nice tank. I've always wanted to see the backside of one of those Aquamedic tanks. I've heard so much good about them, but I've never really seen that compartment. Would love to see more pics when it's in your hands :)

Wil doo ski! any pics you want? its kinda filled up now and just going round and round ! i will try get a few pics of the back for you!

Well I see the pump now, and have an idea of the baffle workings, but where is the overflow into the back part? And how does the water level work in the skimmer section?

Hi, theres two diffrent pumps one is just for the skimmer this is underneef the skimmer, the 2nd pump is under the bio balls this is the "sump pump" it overflow ware the skimmer is ! you can move the comb up and down to play with the water level in the back and also the tank!

tank3_edit.jpg

From right to left! it over flow by the skimmer fills up too about the skimmer neck , goes under the 1st bit of glass , then goes up to the top of the bio balls trickels down (i think some of the bio balls are under water ), then goes it the sump pump section ( the pump is under the egg crate but the water level goes way up past the egg crate this is good for refugium) inbetween the orange lines is a gap for the wires to go into the cabinet , then the blue bit is just a box with two pumps that just resercatlate the water.

(with the comb down the water level in the back is low as the tank water lever goes up)
IMAGE_017.jpg
(with the comb high the water level in the back is high and the tank is low)

The level on the back also depands how much water is there! so i tock some water out so the back is running a little low but im just testing the water with my auto top up! hope this makes sence ski! i will try to get you some more pics

ive lost count as to how many tanks you have had Gary. My LFS has one of these as a display tank, looks very nice. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

Got a fish wish list yet?

Me 2 ben lol!!! but this shud be the larst for a long long time! erm not really!

Cool, looks great man, that setup is compact yet purposeful, I like it. May I suggest turning that big empty middle chamber into a refugium like SH did in the back of his nano? If you put a nice single PC or T5 lamp back there you could grow some good chaeto...
