My pleco actually was my inspiration for getting a larger tank (40G difference from the old one). Being the 13 inches that he is, a 35G was a tiny bit cramped.
All of the fish are thrilled about their home, though, and all are healthy. That's what matters.

That electric yellow is a rift lake cichlid I don't think it's compatible needs alkaline hard water, but they are quite hardy so it might survive
