Looks like a puffer I just posted in a recent post. Mine were sold merely as "fresh water puffers." I've seen them referenced as spotted dwarf puffers, green and black dwarf puffers, and spotted fresh water puffers. I'm not sure which, if any, of these are correct.

definately a dwarf puffer  :D

Be careful what you put with it.... :shifty:

i will. for now he is my little experiment. im seeing if it grows up with all my other fish, if it will be non-aggressive towards them when he is bigger than them. we'll see. everything thing is going amazingly good now he comingles with other fish and they show no signs of aggression and neither does the puffer.

Well, that's about as big as he gets... :D

But don't let his size fool you...these *can* be pretty aggressive puffers. How long have they been together?

They also get "grumpier" as they get older....

thats as big as it getS?!?!?!?!?!??! hes way smaller than even my neons!!

they have been together for about a week with no problems. im holding out for a good outcome.

Yep...hence the "dwarf" part of the name... ;)

Just keep an eye on the little guy...they can become little terrors overnight... :grr:

Watch the fins of your fish, in a few weeks to a month or two I can almost guarentee you he'll turn them into a snack.

Other than that dwarf puffers are absolutely great! They're soo much fun. If you're having trouble keeping the little pond snails to feed him go down to your petsmart, they'll let you have tons of them for free.

the mahority of the snails in my tank are just as big as my puffer so i dont anticipate having to restock them anytime soon.
