I hope you like it.
It is coming along nicely I think.
But no where near finished yet.

I have another lighting unit to put on yet.
Going for a pair of angels and some cory cats in the new year.

Any suggestions of further planting?

Has no body got any tips for me on what else to do to this?

It just does not feel finished :(

Hi Joshy.
I'm a little new to this myself, but to me the tank is crying out for something in the foreground.
You seem to like the bold approach and have just chosen one species of plant,so could you just add one more and have a really low growing carpeting plant to add interest. It would help compete with algae and would stop all the light just being absorbed in the gravel - which I think looks cool, but there might be too much of it.

What about a carpet of marimo moss balls ? They would set you back a little, but would look amazing with the verticals given by the sword plants.

Cheers.

Malfie

Being very new to this feel free to desregard my suggestion. :p

How about adding some Java moss or smaller plants in the foreground. It would give your fish some more places to hide and rest but you would still be able to see the plants at the back of the tank.

Thanks guys, i think i will take you up on your opinions/suggestions and look at some foreground plants.
I don’t want anything too messy though.

Anyone have any suggestions on foreground plants?
Preferably S.American?

Thanks again :)

Have you decided what you are putting in there yet? Personaly i like what you have done, It looks easy and tidy. Im not one for overcrowding. But i would have a few shorter looking plants as your ones are taller and you just have the stems at the bottom maybe some hiding places.

Well i do want and need to keep it pretty 'clean' if thats the word, like in the sense of no cluttering.
As i need to move this tank in June to a new flat - and can obviously do with a little problems as possible.

I think i am going to go with just a pair of angels and half a dozen little cories.
