As promised, way back in this thread, here is a photo of a wild Xiphophorus maculatus from a place called Double Head Cabbage from Belize.

Probably will once they drop enough of them.
Will Let them grow up a bit.

The Balloon Molly Dropped over 50 so far and she is still huge - Fed most to the Giant Fighters and some went outside into the barrells

Well They are Huge as Golf Balls Full of Fry Again.
Hoping more survive this time. They are so Brightly colored that they get picked off easily. I have added Lots of Pond Floating plants like hyacinth and water lettuce and fairy mos. so hopeflly they will have more areas to hide in.

I've been seeing platies labeled as "Balloon Platies" lately. Are these two the same? Balloon fish really freak me out.

No They are a Different Type and bred that way.
These are True Dwarfs and will not ge bigger than a 20P Peice

I actually just found out that they're the same fish, at least the ones being sold here. The suppliers are using the name Balloon Platy while some stores are using Dwarf Platy, since the balloon shape deforms it into a smaller length.

Still, it doesn't look nearly as bad as other balloon fish.
