HI,

I went down early hours to get a drink and as i came to the bottom of my stairs and turned the light on, something caught my eye and when looking close, i noticed there is some eggs been laid on the bogwood..

I did a 50% cold waterchange earlier the night before and all thats in the tank is 5 bristlenose plecs and 2 corys...

Who could these eggs belong to and what do i do with them as none of them are attending to them..

Here is a video of the eggs and maybe it may help you determine who they belong to, the corys or plecs..

Ask in tropical chat as eggs are not an emergency.
Good luck.

those eggs look like plec eggs gone off

when my cories spawn they are tiny eggs dotted all over the place not in a clump like that,

hi 5teady

hard to say as iv never keept bristlenose plecs before .but they look like peppered cory eggs to me what corys do u have .
mine sumtimes lay in clumps like that and the eggs are uselly about 2-3 mm big from my peppers and smaller from my other corydoras

Thanks for replys,

this may sound really stupid but, could they of been snail eggs? i have some ermm Spixies snails (i think there called that)

The reason i ask this is because when i got up earlier, 2 of the eggs had these little clear like clear tenticle (2) sticking out of them.

with all due respect this is not an emergency :/

With all due respect, i think that unattended eggs that are notbeing looked after are to me.. i need urgent help on what to do with them and know if they was anything if could to help them...

That to me is classed as a emergency..

They look like cory eggs to me, my bronze lay / stick clumps on all manner of things, not just plants & glass, I've found them on my Co2 ladder before(no idea how they managed that). The cold water more then likely triggered it and a female can lay eggs regardless of whether a male is present. Also if I remember correctly bn eggs are orange in colour and are usually laid in a cave with the male attending to them. Do you have plans to get more corys? as they do need to be kept in groups.

thanks for the feedback so far all,

It seems to me they are bristlenose eggs going by the pics, i think they are unfertilised..

ps.

This is my other cory i did not know the naqme of...
also will they breed if i get some males? do i need anything particular in the tank?
Will my albino cory breed if i get some males as well?
Is there a ratio i should stick to?

Here is my other cory is like
