Olive's cha cha cat

Has a face only a mother could love........and he even has his dinner on his face! And of course you can see the surprise and disgust on his face that the cory was trying to steal the show! "Move outta my way man, you are ruining my close up!!!!!

Yes, he is our little Mr. Burns of the tank........although not skinny like Mr. Burns....hee hee! Thanks for the compliment.............getting a little better taking pics!

That looks like something from the bottom of the sea... Very scary looking thing...

Thats not a catfish, its a scorpian fish that prefers brackish water but some people do keep them in freshwater so if he's happy then he should be ok. The common name for him is freshwater lionfish.

He is called a cha cha cat........learned this after calling him a freshwater lionfish for over a year.....(that is what my LFS called him). Maybe the name is interchangable but I don't know for sure. All I know is he is a really cool fish and definitely worth setting up his own tank since he likes to eat smaller fish! He happily accepts shrimp pellets when no one is around to hunt. Had to buy monster cories so he wouldn't make them a meal..........

He is very shy and grouchy looking, but one helluva catfish to own. When he comes out we have a party here!!!
