My Guppy Just Had Babies!

My guppy just had alot of babies and i missed it

is there any survivors. there is bound to some.

I counted 9 so far but thats probably not all as they have hiding places.

lift ornaments and such and you might find some more around there.

Do i really want to do that? I mean what if i accidently crush one?

As long as you are lifting up on obects it should be okay. The other method you can try is scooping up the tank water and pouring it back into the tank. It will create a current that forces the fry out of their hiding places. You'll be plenty quick to net them up before other fish have a chance to even get near them.

Thanks! I'll try doing that and hopefully no harm will come to them, i can't wait to put them in the fry tank!

b careful that the otha fishes dont eat dem. i had touble catchin a few and i saw some of dem got eaten nuttin i can do

I was very careful, They are doing quite well in their new fish tank I can't wait to see them grown.

they grow quite quickly at first my fry was so tiny I thought a fish had somehow sucked it out of the breeding trap or it had fallen out. But about 3 weeks later it's about 1/3 of its old baby size. It's really a pleasure to watch them grow up. They are so cute Mine greets me in front of the breeder tank

Hi! I understand this feeling as one of my guppies had babies too...I also missed it but later found fry around my tank and placed into a breeding net...I found 12 and 10 survived...little yellow guppy fry....YAY!!! If you dont have a breeding net...its wise to purchase one and watch your fry grow and develop colour. Plus they dont need to chase food,

I have many more females ready to drop....Its just a matter of time and close watching. I have many plants and hiding places for fry...also floating plants...People often ask gravel or no gravel questions all the time. I rekon gravel is excellent for babies to hide in and they are so hard to spot. I say yes to gravel!!!!!

My Tank 2 weeks ago...It now has more plants and a rock mountain thing with plants attached to it...photos posted soon,. Construction now finished...oh yeh and shade cloth to take out BRIGHT LIGHT!!!!! lol
